Meet Melissa Martin

(She/Her)
Physiotherapist
Three words to describe me:
Fun, dedicated and caring
Consulting days:
Tuesday
Qualifications & Experience:

Melissa ran her own Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Practice in Hobart before relocating to Melbourne in 2006 where she joined Pelvic Health Matters. She's an experienced pelvic health physio who's achieved the APA title as a Women's, Men's and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist. She's lectured and tutored at The University of Melbourne's Postgraduate Pelvic Health Physiotherapy program and participated in research on physiotherapy for post-prostatectomy incontinence, publishing two articles in the field.

Melissa has developed advanced skills in the use of transperineal ultrasound for imaging of the male and female pelvic floor anatomy and function. Passionate about the well-being of her patients, she's committed to offering the most up-to-date care. This is why she likes to attend as many conferences and professional development events around Australia as she can.

When Melissa's not working:
She's enjoying the good things in life – a wine with friends, challenging walks, making patchwork quilts, learning that golf isn’t easy – and time with her labradors.
