Bowel Conditions
When our bodies function as they should, we don’t think much about our bowel. It works quietly in the background. Satisfying an essential part of our everyday routine. But it’s not the same story when things start to go wrong.
Bowel issues are common, affecting people of all ages in all sorts of ways. Almost anything can be affected, from daily activities, work and exercise to socialising and intimate relationships. You might find yourself afraid to leave the house or avoiding enjoyable activities. Perhaps you often feel bloated and uncomfortable. You may also feel embarrassed and distressed over having such a personal issue. In fact, for some, bowel issues are too embarrassing to talk about, so they soldier on without getting the help they need.
Understanding our bowel
Our bowel is designed to form and store stool (poo) comfortably. Then, when the time and place are right, it should empty easily, fully and with control. You shouldn’t have pain, need to rush to the toilet, have difficulty holding on or need to strain.
At Pelvic Health Matters, we know all about bowels. And we’re here to help you with any issues you may be having. We will work in conjunction with your doctor or refer you to one if needed. Most bowel problems can be managed or even cured with the proper treatment. So if you’re having problems, don’t suffer alone, contact us soon. We’re confident that our proven pathway is the best way to restore your pelvic health and live your best life.
